A view of completed scarf joints
along with a few new planks.
The stem was removed taking care not
to damage the topside plank ends.
A pattern was made to attain the
proper shape for a new stem.
Justin Armstrong drives in a hand
forged bronze through bolt.
This photo shows the new stem, knee, and
the last dozen of the 132 new oak ribs.
Here blocks have been shaped and fastened
to the ribs for use in fitting a garboard
plank to the contour of the bottom.
